DR. STEFAN KURYS-ROMER
After graduating his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in Munich, Germany in 1979 Stefan worked as a registrar within the large animal hospital at the university with leading academic professors, where he assisted in the publication of the Atlas of Equine Radiography. After honing his skills in academia he moved into private mixed practice, starting 2 veterinary hospital's and working with some of the leading equine performance, dairy and beef cattle barns in southern Germany.
Stefan emigrated to the South West of WA in 1989 with his young family and began Naturaliste Veterinary Clinic in 1992. For the past 27 years Stefan has serviced the capes region with small and large animal clinics and on-farm care.
Stefan is passionate about animal welfare, is a huge supporter of the South West's primary production industry, and has spent a great amount of time developing his skills and knowledge in equine and bovine veterinary care & surgery.
Stefan has a wealth of knowledge, experience and success in both equine and bovine reproduction.
He enjoys mentoring the next generation of veterinary surgeons.
Beginning as one of our equine clients, Lisa began with Naturaliste Veterinary Services in January 2018 assisting our Veterinary Surgeons in field diagnostics and consults.
With a background in equine sports, Lisa has a strong affinity with our equine patients.
Lisa makes a great addition to the team and we enjoy watching her develop her skills as she completes her Cert. IV in Veterinary Nursing.
DR. BETTINA CARSTENS
Dr. Bettina graduated as a Veterinary Doctor from Murdoch University in 2017. She has a strong foundation in rural veterinary medicine and has a farming background.
Bettina has worked in the South West for the past 2 years where she enjoys her spare time on her own home farm.
With a personal interest in bovine medicine, Bettina is an asset to our team with extensive knowledge of beef and dairy herd health and management.
Bettina plays a key role in optimising production systems and working with our farm owners on how to ensure maximum profitability, while managing the best welfare outcomes.
Lilian grew up in the veterinary clinic and cattle yards with her father. With a passion for all things horses and livestock it was obvious from a very young age she would follow in her father's footsteps.
Lili began her veterinary studies at Murdoch in 2013 and has recently returned to complete her masters degree 'Doctor of Veterinary Medicine', whilst continuing to manage the business.
Lili enjoys her breaks at the home farm where she manages her working stock horses, tends to her orphaned menagerie and assists the veterinary team.
